ERP Floodgates Open

With the specter of Y2K fading to the background, opportunities in ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) are plentiful. Many companies placed a hold on ERP projects during 1999 waiting out the impact of Y2K. Now that the long anticipated date is passed, the gates are opening.

AESI is Ready

AESI has clients, including Fortune 500 firms, hungry for specialists to fulfill their ERP requirements. AESI's team of experienced ERP staffing consultants is ready to meet the demand. The ERP team speaks the language of ERP and understands the needs of the industry.

Expertise Needed

ERP experts are needed to lead or participate on project teams implementing new systems and upgrading existing systems. Individual contributors are needed to drive discreet components of systems.

AESI has urgent openings requiring experience in:

  • PeopleSoft
  • Baan
  • SAP
  • Oracle
  • CRM

Web Developers Wanted

The fastest growing segment within ERP is web enablement. With the uncertainties of Y2K in the past, integrating ERP systems with web applications is cutting edge technology.

ERP specialists with web developer skills like Java and JavaScript in addition to an ERP background are in high demand. AESI's ERP team is looking for candidates to meet this demand.

Relocation Incentives for High-tech Professionals

Telecommunication and engineering professionals are in such demand that 82% of companies are using relocation assistance as a hiring incentive.

According to the 1999 New Hire Survey by the Employee Relocation Council, "companies had to upgrade their new hire relocation programs to remain attractive to new employees."

The higher up the food chain: the sweeter the relocation package. Employers report the most difficulty in hiring technical new hires at the mid-management level.

Relocation is of particular importance in the San Francisco Bay Area, one of the most expensive housing markets in the nation. The current market requires many employers to offer comprehensive packages that may include a home purchase program, moving allowance, temporary living expenses and job-seeking assistance for spouses.

According to the survey companies predict the competitive job market will continue for the foreseeable future.

AESI Honored

Albin Engineering Services, Inc. was named to the Inc. 500 list of America's fastest-growing private companies. AESI placed 170th in the nation, 25th in California and 7th in the San Francisco Bay Area: an excellent first-time accomplishment.

AESI president Marc Albin's goal in starting the business was to "give hiring managers and high-tech professionals a quality experience with the staffing industry." AESI's sustained growth demonstrates its success in meeting this goal.

Thank you to all the consultants, clients and internal team members who contributed to this achievement
