Star Award Luncheon
Albin Engineering was honored to receive the STAR Supplier Subcontractor/Service award from Lockheed Martin Corporation. This distinguished award is given to Lockheed Martin’s top suppliers and is awarded for exceptional service and quality. To maintain STAR Supplier status, Albin Engineering remains committed to continuous improvement and to maintain standards of excellence in the areas of quality, cost, and schedule. Lockheed Martin currently has over 70,000 suppliers. AT the time of our "Award", out of 70,000 suppliers only 118 "Star Awards" had been given out. AND! Only 18 "Star Awards" have been given in our Category, "the Service Category". Star Supplier awards recipients are considered to be Lockheed Martin Strategic Alliances for the future.
To mark the achievement of this key milestone, U.S. Congressman Mike Honda, US Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren, Sunnyvale's own Mayor Julia Miller, and other key Lockheed Martin officials addressed the AESI and Lockheed Martin employees during an awards luncheon held on August 8, 2003 at Albin Engineering company headquarters located in Sunnyvale, CA.
