Recruitment Process

An AESI recruiter is assigned to each job order. The recruiter will review all resumes received. The recruiter will also search our extensive database of candidates, resume banks like DICE and Monster. Our recruiters are also trained to conduct searches of the Internet to find qualified, “passive” candidates as well as use networking techniques to identify candidates.

Our business works on a Recruiter - Account Manager model. The recruiter is the advocate for the candidate working to understand the candidate’s qualifications, needs and wants. The account manager is the advocate for the client working to meet the client’s needs and wants.

AESI practices a quality, not quantity principle of submitting candidates. Our job is to present candidates that we feel meet or exceed the requirements of our clients. The recruiter will work with the AESI account manager to understand the needs and wants of the client. AESI will not submit your resume to a client without your consent.

If you are interested in a position for which you are qualified:

  • Submit your resume to us. The best format is RTF. Be sure to cite the job number in the subject line of your submittal email. Attach your resume. See Resume & Interview Tips for more information about resumes.
  • If your resume meets the minimum requirements for the opening, the recruiter will contact you to do an initial phone screen. Be prepared to answer questions about your experience. You should be able to give specific details about projects you have worked on, special talents you may have, and names of professional references. You should also be prepared to talk about your needs and wants in a placement. What salary are you looking for, special benefits, etc.
  • If the recruiter feels you are a good match for the position, your recruiter will write a submittal letter to our client. This letter will be crafted from your discussions with the recruiter, your references, etc. Your resume will also be submitted to the client.
  • Once you have been submitted to the client, the identity of the client will be revealed to you. Take this opportunity to do some research on the client. Your AESI recruiter can give you the client’s web address as a starting point. This research can give you valuable information that can be used during the interviewing process.
  • In the event the client is interested in talking with you, an interview will be arranged. Depending on various factors, the first interview may be either an in-person interview or a phone screen interview. Your AESI recruiter will work with the account manager to arrange the interview.   • Making it to the interview stage is a significant step. If you’ve gotten this far, your chances of a placement improve greatly. Take the time to prepare for this most important phase.
  • The AESI account manager will meet with you, at the client site, 15 minutes prior to the interview. This is a chance for you to get any last minute questions answered prior to the interview.
  • The client loves you and wants to make an offer! The offer will be made through AESI. AESI will act on your behalf to negotiate the placement, including salary, start date and any special conditions. We will not accept an offer without your consent.
  • Depending on whether the placement is direct or contract, there will be some paperwork to compete. The client may require a drug screen. For contract placements, AESI will conduct a background check prior to the start date.
