Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is seeking a Procurement Engineer to work on a long-term position (6-8 years) for a leading aerospace/defense company at their facility in Pennsylvania.
We are looking for someone who wants to grow within the company. The ideal candidate is someone who is interested in starting in the subcontracts group gaining enough experience and moving into subcontract program management.
The Procurement Engineer will work with various companies for "Build-to-Print" contracts in the areas of spacecrafts and their components. This person will assist in the develop subcontract specifications, analyze statements of work, and understand terms and conditions for the procurement of complex specialized materials, equipment, and services. You will prepare bid packages, possibly conduct bidders conferences, analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate subcontract provisions, select or recommend subcontractors, write awards, and administer and monitor the resulting subcontracts. You will also negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, and modifications to subcontracts.

Required Experience:
- Bachelors degree – in an engineering discipline like Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Systems
- Responsible for approving and processing subcontract/vendor, and subcontractors with leading Aerospace/Defense companies
- Responsible to assure compliance of business contracts
- Provides direction and monitoring related to FAR/DFAR/ITAR compliance
- Participates actively in program review meetings and resolves any matters affecting subcontract administration
- Proficient with MS Suite of products (Excel, Powerpoint, ACCESS). Strong multi-tasking ability, good communication and presentation skills
- Must be able to obtain DoD security clearance
Desired Experience:
- Experience with Satellite or Ground station Hardware
- Previous space experience and requirements analysis and verification
- SAP experience
