Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) has a requirement for a Sr. Satellite Battery Systems Engineer (or retired Battery Systems Engineer) to help mentor and lead junior engineers to succeed in a very large military satellite program, and appreciate the opportunity to be part of the satellite launch support team.
Be a part of a $2.7 Billion state-of-the-art satellite program! This fully operational satellite will provide more data throughput capability and coverage flexibility to regional and global military operations than ever before! The higher data rates permit transmission of tactical military communications such as real-time video, battlefield maps and targeting data.
Job Description:
- Provide technical consultation on current and proposed battery systems to junior engineers
- Provide leadership and work guidance to less experienced personnel
- Monitor battery performance at the spacecraft level, review cell, module, and battery level test results
- Responsible for battery qualification and certification for launch
- Responsible for the health and safety of the battery
- Present Technical Material and test data to company and military personnel
- Perform Technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk reduction

Required Experience:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide and mentor the work of less experienced personnel
- B.S. in Engineering or Science
- Must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desired Experience:
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Science
- Experience as battery engineer for a military communications satellite program
