Albin Engineering is seeking an Electrical/Software Engineer skilled in the design and development of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Software. This is a contract to hire position working for a leading aerospace company in Palo Alto, CA. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and candidates will be expected to work extra hours and some weekends.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Design and implement C, C++ and Labview Windows applications
- Design and develop test methods and systems used to Power and Control Flight hardware
- Generate specifications and engineering plans for test equipment development and maintenance
- Obtain resources to implement software designs
- Evaluate test results and provide detailed reports of the results
- Provide recommendations based on findings of test result evaluations
- Identify, analyze and resolve technical problems and test failures
- Troubleshoot, analyze data trending, failure analysis, perform overstress analysis, root case analysis
- Provide input to technical reports on specifics test requirements
- Provide test equipment design, test software development, test procedure development

Required Experience:
- 5 years experience in Software Development for automated test systems
- 5 years of C++, Lab Windows/CVI, Labview working experience
- BS in Engineering or equivalen
- Knowledge of Computer-Aided Drafting and Design software
- Knowledge of Cadence, SPICE, HSPICE or similar circuit modeling systems
- US Citizen ONLY
