Albin Engineering is seeking a Engineering Specialist in Optical Engineer to work on contract with a leading aerospace/defense company in the Los Angeles, CA area. We are seeking an individual who has a security clearance (preferred) or able to obtain a security clearance (DoD).
Job Duties:
Perform complex critical alignments, testing and troubleshooting of refractive and reflective optical assemblies. Perform line of sight analysis and budget allocations. Evaluate and validate wavefront error models and predictions with interferometers. Generate radiometric error budgets and calibration procedures. Operate within optical measurement and integration laboratory environment. Prefer person with existing clearance. (SSBI).

Required Experience:
- BS in Optics, Physics or equivalent Engineering
- Ability to present results of work to management
- 6+ years experience with optical components and systems including alignment, optical measurement, and/or radiometry, preferably of space based infrared and visible imaging hardware
- Knowledge of radiometric or line of sight requirements and capabilities of optical systems. Alignment, evaluation, data collection and analysis for reflective and refractive optical systems
