Albin Engineering Services, Inc. (www.aesi.com) is looking for a Sr. Network Engineer/Architect. Designing the architecture for a large SATCOM program, you will resolve problems associated with QoS, Network Management, Mobile Routing and Network SLAs.
Must be able to evaluate system requirements and propose solutions to challenges. Will work with protocols and framing structures, COTS hardware and software products, and develop recommendations for enterprise growth to increase capability of the network.
With little travel, this is an ideal position for someone with a start-up background who wants to work a long-term, stable project and watch it grow. Come be part of the next generation network development.

Required Experience:
- MUST BE US CITIZEN
- Must understand ISP Routing Protocol issues (i.e. OSPF, BGP, RIP, EIGRP etc.)
- Extensive experience on Network Design and Network Architecture for large-scale networks
- Experience with “packet communication”
- Hands on experience integrating Hardware and Software COTS
- Project Leadership Skills
- BS or MS in related field
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (US Citizenship a must)
Desired Experience:
- Written White papers
- Experience working for a First Tier ISP Company
- QOS (Quality of Service), SLA, etc.
- Network instrumentation other than Cisco, like Juniper, Extreme, or IXIA-traffic generator
- Network tools and network management systems
- IETF standards, advanced networking protocols, GIG 2E standards
- Architectural development tools such as System Architect, SysML, UML, Rhapsody
- Understanding of military/secure networks and their components
